BabySquare

Local marketplace for children’s items

A marketplace where parents in the same town buy and sell children’s items, with the carbon impact each sale avoids.

Client
BabySquare
Type
Web app, E-commerce
Duration
5 weeks
BabySquare home page, with a French headline about finding everything for your children close to home and a photo of a little girl

Context

BabySquare wants to make parents’ lives easier: finding children’s items quickly, close to home, while supporting the local economy. Residents of a town sell what they no longer need, and other parents buy it at a good price.

Approach

We developed the whole platform on Bubble, from the design supplied by BabySquare. Each transaction calculates the carbon impact it avoids: an item resold is one less item to manufacture. Reviews, recommendations and messaging build trust between users, and referrals let them invite other parents.

What we built

  • User accounts
  • Item listings with carbon impact calculation
  • Item search by need
  • Messaging between users
  • Reviews and recommendations
  • Referrals between users

Stack
