Context

La Tajine d’Or serves North African food, tajines and couscous, in two restaurants: one on the banks of the Marne in Joinville-le-Pont, the other in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés. Two brothers founded it. The restaurant also hosts christenings, weddings, birthdays and company parties, and offers its whole menu for takeaway.

The site had to present both addresses and their opening hours, show the full menu and the dishes in photos, and tell the restaurant’s story.

Approach

We built the site on Webflow, across six pages: home, menu, photo gallery, story, blog and contact. The home page runs from the restaurant’s name over a slideshow of dishes to the menu, two rows of scrolling photos, the founders’ story, private events and takeaway. The menu opens as four pages in a lightbox; in the gallery, each address’s photos slide over its title as visitors scroll. Blog articles are managed in the Webflow CMS, in three categories, and every “Réserver” button leads to the maps, phone numbers and opening hours of both restaurants.
